Scope of Service
CREGO Collections enables businesses and individuals to schedule cheque pickup, deposit coordination, and transaction tracking.
CREGO acts as a collection and logistics facilitator for cheque handling. CREGO is not a bank, escrow service, or financial intermediary.
- Cheque pickup scheduling
- Courier-based cheque collection
- Secure storage until deposit date
- Cheque deposit coordination
- Deposit proof updates on the platform
- Transaction tracking through CREGO Transaction Meter (CTM)
Eligible Users
CREGO Collections is available to businesses and individual users for supplier payments, business transactions, chit fund collections, house rent collection, school or college fee payments, and personal cheque handling.
Cheque Upload Requirements
The cheque image and entered details will be cross-verified by CREGO administrators. Once verification is completed and approved, the transaction will be placed.
- Upload a clear photo of the cheque
- Enter cheque details manually in the app
- Enter cheque amount and cheque date
- Enter beneficiary information
Cheque Verification
Before pickup is scheduled, CREGO administrators verify the uploaded cheque image and confirm that cheque details entered in the app match the cheque image.
- CREGO may reject damaged, overwritten, incomplete, or unsigned cheques.
- Cheques missing mandatory details may be rejected.
- Cheques older than 3 months from the cheque date will not be accepted for collection.
Post-Dated Cheques
CREGO accepts post-dated cheques when scheduling rules are followed. Users must schedule cheque pickup at least 7 days before the cheque date.
For example, if today is March 1, the earliest cheque date allowed will be March 8.
Cheque Packaging Requirements
- The cheque must be placed inside a sealed envelope.
- A barcode label provided by the courier partner must be printed and pasted on the envelope.
- The envelope must be kept ready before the courier arrives.
Cheque Pickup Process
Once the transaction is approved, pickup is scheduled with a third-party courier partner and will occur on the next business day. CREGO uses courier tracking systems to monitor shipment status.
Failed Pickup Attempts
If the courier partner arrives but the cheque is not ready or the user is unavailable, the courier will attempt pickup once again on the following day.
Maximum pickup attempts are two. If both pickup attempts fail, the transaction will be automatically cancelled and a cancellation fee will be applied.
Cheque Transportation, Loss & Storage
Cheques are transported to the CREGO processing office through courier partners. Courier tracking information may be visible in the platform.
If a cheque is lost during transit, CREGO will assist the user in filing a claim with the courier company and reimburse bank stop-cheque charges incurred by the customer. CREGO is not financially responsible for the cheque value.
Upon arrival at the CREGO office, cheques are stored securely in a controlled locker or safe environment until the deposit date.
Cheque Deposit Process
Before depositing the cheque, CREGO staff perform final physical verification including beneficiary name, cheque amount, cheque date, signature presence, and cheque condition.
CREGO deposits cheques physically at the bank branch into the beneficiary's bank account on the exact date written on the cheque.
After deposit, a bank counterfoil or deposit slip image will be uploaded to the platform and the transaction status will update to Cheque Deposited.
CREGO Transaction Meter (CTM)
CTM displays the last 15 cheque transactions, cleared cheques, bounced cheques, and deposit status. CTM is a transaction monitoring tool only and does not represent a financial credit score.
Cheque Bounce Handling
If a cheque is dishonoured, the issue may fall under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, including Section 138.
CREGO may assist users by providing access to SAMA Online Dispute Resolution and external lawyers. Legal proceedings remain the responsibility of the affected parties, and CREGO does not guarantee recovery outcomes.
Service Fees, Cancellation & Platform Rights
CREGO charges a service fee per cheque transaction. The fee may be paid by the buyer or seller. Service fees are non-refundable, including where a cheque is dishonoured, unless explicitly stated in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Users may cancel a transaction before the cheque is deposited. A cancellation fee may apply depending on the stage of processing.
CREGO reserves the right to reject suspicious cheque transactions, suspend accounts involved in fraud, and modify collection policies when necessary.
Limitation of Liability
CREGO shall not be liable for financial losses between users, cheque dishonour, bank processing delays, courier delays, or payment disputes between parties.
